My dear Aunt, Ruth, pass away at 2020. for the firs time I lost someone how was close to me. 
As part of a Feminism course, I embarked on a deeply personal project dedicated to the memory of my aunt Ruth, who passed away that same year. Ruth, passionate about photography and writing, left behind visual and written materials that became a significant source of inspiration for me.

In this series, I blend her photographs with my own, interwoven with texts written by Ruth. By merging these old and new images, I explore themes of memory, intergenerational connection, and the role of the creative woman.

Using Ruth’s original work allows me to engage in an intimate, emotional dialogue with her creations, highlighting her presence even after her passing. Through these photographs and texts, I delve into the experience of loss, the act of commemorating memories, and the power of art to bridge past and present, the personal and the collective, and the space between imagination and reality.

This a series that not only tells Ruth’s story, but also my own—and, by extension, the story of every woman who creates in order to share her voice, carry on a legacy, and seek meaning within life’s experiences.
